My name is Jacquelyn Deppe. I am a 2017 graduate. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Art, Design and Interactive Multimedia with a concentration in Graphic Design and Advertising. So my memory I'm going to talk about today is actually my graduation. That happened in 2017. So we didn't know for a while where we were graduating from.
Seton Hall tradition and normally that graduates graduate from the PNC, the Prudential Center in Newark. But for my year, something happened that we ended up graduating at the PNC Bank Arts Center off the Garden State Parkway in Holmdel, New Jersey. And there was a lot of questions about why we had been bumped from the Prudential Center. No one really knows.
But one thing I did hear was that we got bumped because of WWE. So we got bumped for a wrestling program, a wrestling show, and were not allowed to graduate from the Prudential Center. It posed a big problem. For a while. They were planning things across campus where we would have individual graduations at the college level, and that would mean like, you know, if you were there with your sibling, like twins or something, you would have to go to multiple graduations, especially if they were across different colleges.
But in the end, everyone graduated out of the PNC Bank Arts Center, which was quite a trip for many people, including myself. It was about an hour away from me where I live in Bergen County. So it's quite a memory, quite a story and something that's, you know, definitely be remembered by myself. But many of my fellow graduates.
