Abstract

On September 22, 2013, Dr. John Connelly, Professor in the Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley, delivered the keynote address at the Msgr. John M. Oesterreicher Conference, which was sponsored by the Institute of Judaeo-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University.

Professor Connelly spoke about the life of Msgr. Oesterreicher and his role as a principal architect of "Nostra aetate, 4" during the Second Vatican Council and the impact he had on the Church's view of Judaism and its break with a non-mission to the Jews.
