Course Description
This course is an introduction to theories of foreign policy analysis and a survey of the foreign policies or major states. The first part of the course examines alternative theoretical approaches to the study of foreign policy. These conceptual models arc then applied to a series of seminal events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis. The second part of the course examines the foreign policy trajectories of a number of important states and explores critical foreign policy dilemmas through two in-class simulations.
