Course Description

Participants in this Course could include students who have an academic/intellectual interest in the question of International mediation. They could also include some who are contemplating a career in the Foreign Service or an International or Non-Governmental Organization, and who might, in that context, have an interest in International Mediation. To both groups the Course will open a window onto the metier of the Mediator and at the same time provide a basis for wise and informed career decisions where International Mediation is a future option: a) what mediation is; b) the right kind of person for the job, c) preparing to approach the task; d) an understanding of the temperament, tools and techniques required, e) instructions in their use and f) concluding agreements that will stick.
