Course Description

This is an introductory course to International Relations. The course introduces students to the historical context of contemporary world politics, important theoretical debates on relations between states on why states conflict and under what conditions will they cooperate. The course also investigates role of international organizations, international regimes, regional organizations, transnational actors in international relations. The course explores contemporary structures, processes, and issues in international relations with the objective of seeking policy solutions to problems of war, governance, cooperation, transnational networks in international relations in a globalizing world.
