Course Description

This course offers a broad overview of international relations. The goal is to give you a solid historical and theoretical foundation for understanding some general causes of conflict and conditions for peace. You will also acquire an insight into key concepts related to international relations (balance of power, security dilemma, prisoner’s dilemma, deterrence, etc.). Knowledge of theories and concepts should improve your ability to engage in critical analysis of historical and current events.
