Building Bridges - Oesterreicher Institute 60th Anniversary Celebration, September 9 - Sunday October 27, 2013, Opening Reception: September 12th, 5 - 7:30pm.
This exhibition commemorates the 60th Anniversary of the Institute of Judaeo-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University and its founder, Monsignor John M. Oesterreicher, whose life’s work was dedicated to interfaith understanding between Christians and Jews. Objects from the University’s collections of artifacts, manuscripts and archival materials contribute to this ongoing dialogue of interfaith understanding, peace and reconciliation, providing a means for reflection and engagement on these themes.
